Naturopathy & Skin Therapy

Dual qualification is now available for the first time at SJM Skin Aesthetics. Ashleigh who started off as a client of Suzanne’s, qualified as a Naturopath with a Bachelor of Health Science and now has completed her Skin Therapist training here at SJM Skin Aesthetics to offer you an in depth individualised experience. Ashleigh offers a holistic approach to wellness combining traditional knowledge and evidence-based research and testing to restore balance and harmony within the body. This is achieved by establishing the underlying cause of your skin concerns by addressing internal factors such as gut & hormonal health with the help of functional pathology. Ashleigh will also be able to discuss many different themes that she sees commonly in clinic associated with problematic skin including successfully transitioning off oral contraception, oral and topical antibiotics and oral and topical steroids.

Ashleigh also questions around;

  • building a resilience to stress and support your nervous system and adrenals

  • Optimise the anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects of deep, restful and restorative sleep

  • Identify and address any nutritional deficiencies that can be impacting on your skins ability to function optimally

  • Help you navigate which dietary swaps and inclusions are relevant to your skin health

  • Reduce digestive dysfunction and eliminate bloating, pain, constipation or diarrhoea

  • Balance your hormones and address PMS, painful periods, endometriosis or PCOS.

Ashleigh’s treatment plan will additionally include tailored skin product recommendations and various chosen skin treatments from our treatment menu to help you navigate your way through your skin journey.

Not only is skin health Ashleigh’s passion and clinical specialty, she also has first hand experience in how life altering skin issues can be, having experienced (and resolved) her own acne vulgaris through naturopathic & corneotherapy practises. Ashleigh is here in clinic Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturdays and will start to take bookings from the 22nd of March 2022.
